Concrete sandblasting

The duration of the sandblasting process depends on the level of exposure required. For a light blast, which removes the concrete's shine, we can cover approximately 150 square metres in a day. For medium to heavy exposure, we can handle between 70 and 100 square metres per day.

The cost ranges between $40 and $100 per square metre, depending on the level of exposure and the concrete's MPa (unit of pressure or stress), any window protection and clean-up requirements.

Yes, sandblasting is safe for all types of concrete surfaces, including coloured, plain, and varying MPa’s.

To prepare, protect adjacent materials, remove mulch from garden beds (if the work is done in the garden), and notify neighbours about the scheduled work.

We predominantly use 30/60 grade garnet, and occasionally 80 grade garnet, depending on the specific requirements.

We typically use wet blasting to control dust. Dry blasting is reserved for very small stencil work designs.

Sandblasting can remove most stains, except for polyurethane paints and very hard epoxy. Stains limited to the first few millimetres of concrete can usually be removed effectively.
